Tamales come from the Aztec and Mayan civilization, spreading throughout Central and South America, tamales still represent family, unity, community and celebration.

 

Tamale making became of our long lasting traditions at La Plaza. Our members utilized their skills as tamale makers in order to give back to the organization that supported them in times of need.
